For those unable to attend this month’s meeting: our monthly meeting was held Tuesday, October 1st at 6pm at the Logan County Search & Rescue Building on Thurston Dr. We had good attendance and discussed several new points of business.
Elections took place on paper ballots, votes were tallied, and 2025 officers were announced. The new president beginning January 1st will be Bob Harris (WB2UBW). Vice President remains: Tony Bivens (KN4FYL). Secretary remains: Lorraine Adler (W4XXA). Treasurer remains: Corey Page (AA4JP). Lastly, a new Member at Large was elected: William McKinney (KK4SSV), who will hold the position starting January 1st. Congratulations to all new and remaining positions elected this month!
We also scheduled another Technician License Course and testing session for the month of October. Details are included in the article previously posted; please review the ‘News’ page for more information.
Trash Pickup was discussed & members agreed on Saturday, October 26th. We will meet that morning, pickup should take no longer than 3 hours, and I will be sure to share more details on this once road/location is finalized with the Solid Waste Coordinator. We will need volunteers! If you have any questions regarding this, please contact Corey (AA4JP) at 270-772-4986. We look forward to serving the community while also raising some funds to aid the club in Field Day expenses and more!
Matthew Rainey (KO4MTL) has organized and scheduled a POTA Activation set for Saturday, October 19th at 10am local time. We will meet near the campground under the pavilion. The local 4-H Ham Radio Club will also be invited, so bring the family, learn about antennas, and get on the air!
November’s meeting will be held on Tuesday, November 5th at 6pm local time. Testing will take place as well at promptly 7pm.
Our December meeting was also discussed. We will have a potluck during December’s meeting, and we are excited to spend time among club members. Non-members are also welcome to visit during this meeting (& all meetings). Please bring a side dish, drink, or dessert.
